Jacob Rodgers

Jacob Rodgers has been part of the Hytrol family for over two years. He serves as a Software Engineer on our Information Systems team.

His work includes bringing Hytrol’s laser nesting software online at our Fort Smith production facility and continuing to maintain it. This software optimizes the placement of cutting patterns in metal to minimize waste and maximize material usage.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Jacob said he enjoys working with team members to understand their needs, “so that I can build something that will help them or make their jobs easier, and get to see the impact that my work has on them.”

“Jacob is absolutely amazing. He is always quick to answer any questions, fix any problems and do just about anything that is needed of him. And, he is very knowledgeable, but able to answer questions in a way that doesn’t leave you wondering what you just heard,” said Shelly Russell, Engineering Technology and Performance Specialist.

Jacob offers some sound advice to new Hytrol employees: “Always ask questions if you don’t understand something.”
