How long have you worked at Hytrol? I’ve been with Hytrol for 9 years in May of 2024.

Summarize what you do at Hytrol. I have the privilege of serving as our Customer Training Facilitator. In this role, I have the opportunity to engage with our Distributors and customers, educating them on Hytrol’s Sales and Applications, Maintenance, and EZLogic® functionalities. It’s a rewarding position that allows me to directly contribute to our customers’ understanding and success with our products.

What was it that drew you to Hytrol? My sister-in-law, Jennifer Tapia, has been with Hytrol for 11 years, and has always spoken highly of her experience at Hytrol, expressing her happiness to work for such a great company. Her positive feedback played a significant role in my interest and decision to join Hytrol.

How would you describe Hytrol to someone who has never heard of it? Hytrol designs and manufactures innovative conveyor systems that streamline and enhance the movement of goods in various industries, including e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and logistics.

What has the experience been like for you here? It’s been fantastic. I enjoy what I do so much that it never feels like work to me.

Can you share a meaningful moment where you needed help or had to work hard to overcome a challenge? When I began my journey in customer service, I encountered challenges in understanding my role and responsibilities. Recognizing my struggles, our manager at the time, Tony Sartin, proactively reached out and asked, “How can I help you?” Tony’s attentive approach and genuine concern for my growth became evident as he devised a personalized learning path to support my development.

Tony facilitated connections with subject matter experts from various departments, enabling me to seek guidance and gain insights directly from those with specialized knowledge. By fostering these mentorship opportunities, Tony encouraged a collaborative environment where I could freely ask questions and expand my understanding.

Furthermore, Tony arranged for me to spend time on the production floor, providing hands-on experience to familiarize myself with our company’s products and processes. This immersive approach not only deepened my understanding of our business model but also instilled confidence in my ability to serve our customers effectively.

Overall, Tony’s proactive support, personalized guidance, and dedication to my growth were instrumental in shaping my success in customer service. His mentorship not only helped me overcome initial challenges but also inspired me to continuously strive for excellence in my role.

How has Hytrol helped with your professional development? Hytrol has played a pivotal role in fostering my professional growth by providing opportunities to learn from our subject matter specialists. Beginning my journey in customer service, I seized the chance to absorb knowledge and expertise from various specialists within the company. Through this immersive learning experience, I gradually transitioned from my initial role to becoming our customer training facilitator.

Do you have any stories or memories you’d like to share? One memorable day during one of our seminars, our president, David Peacock, made his customary entrance and engaged with the attendees, introducing himself and initiating conversation. During the interactions, it came to light that one of our customers hailed from a location in Texas where Mr. Peacock had a scheduled meeting the following day, coinciding with the customer’s departure date. As they conversed, it emerged that the customer’s journey home entailed landing at a major airport and then embarking on a roughly hour-long drive to his hometown.

Upon concluding his engagements, Mr. Peacock approached me and requested the customer’s contact information. He then extended an unexpected offer: an invitation for the customer to fly with him in the Hytrol jet to his destination. Both the customer and I were taken aback by this generous gesture, and it left a lasting impression on us.

Experiencing firsthand the genuine care and consideration demonstrated by our company’s leadership reaffirmed my pride in being part of such an extraordinary organization. It served as a powerful reminder of Hytrol’s commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with our customers and going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction. Moments like these underscored why I feel privileged to work for a company as exceptional as Hytrol.
